There are various programs and services that Lacrosse in Northern California has to offer. There are plenty of programs designed for different types of needs and all this for the sake of the game. It is important to mention however that for one to be able to participate in the lacrosse programs developed in Northern California, one needs to be a member of a related organization.
The New Start Program is developed for those who are willing to start a new team. It includes developmental assistance required for teams of first year men and women, at any level. The package that comes with the program includes all the information needed about the game itself, the rulebook, samples of magazines and a guide that would make it clear how to start a lacrosse team. The Loan Kit Program is a program through which US Lacrosse Northern California offers men’s and women’s lacrosse sticks. The Youth Grant Program was designed for young lacrosse players, of under 15 years old and it includes awarding annual grants of equipment. The Camp Scholarship Program is available for players between 10 and 14 years old and it involves a lacrosse camp during the summer. A program is also available for those intending to coach lacrosse and it is called Women’s and Men’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Education Program which provides introductory coaching courses and more. One may even share one's experience in lacrosse through the Coaches Travel Clinic Program, a program through which coaches travel to coach and player clinics.
Lacrosse in Northern California also includes information services through which people can learn different things about the world of lacrosse. There is a book and video library, a physical education program, a publication on lacrosse and lists of summer camps and all these resources are out there for those who want to know more about this sport.
