Nor Cal Teams Enjoy Great Success in Vail!

The Norcal Grizzlies Boys U19 and U17's both did well in their respective divisions at the Vail Tournament this summer. The Norcal Grizzlies teams are the summer All Star teams (boys U17 and U19) for Northern California with players trying out from CIF and club teams all over Northern California for one of the coveted spots. In order to try out, players had to be nominated by their coach and then beat out a field of highly talented players for one of the roster spots.

Eighteen girls from Northern California took third place at the U-17 Vail Lacrosse Shootout recently played June 21-23, in Vail, Colorado. Coach Jen Lee from Menlo School organized and led the team of players representing high schools from Marin to Monterey Counties

2004 Pacific Region Team Announced - HS Girls

On a long, hot, day in Atascadero, CA, the 2004 Pacific Regional Team was selected . There were over 100 talented HS varsity players from over 26 high schools, vying for only 20 spots on the team that will travel once again to Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA over Memorial Day weekend - to compete at the 71st annual USLacrosse Women's Division National Tournament. The Pacific Team is one of 32 from across the country who will compete in 2 divisions of 16 for top honors.

Sixteen members of the Stevenson School Varsity Boys Lacrosse team travelled to Florida during one week of their Spring Break to practice and play lacrosse. The boys practiced at the Disneyworld's Wide World of Sports Complex during the week of Feb. 28-Mar. 5, 2004, and played two games against local Central Florida High School teams Olympia and Lake Howell.

Dominican's director of athletics Ian McGregor has announced that men's and women's golf and men's lacrosse will be added to the intercollegiate program for the 2004-2005 school year.

the men's and women's Under-19

world lacrosse championships on Saturday

evening at Towson University. The men's

US LACROSSE CONVENTION

The 2004 US Lacrosse National Convention

will be held from Jan. 8-11 at the Philadelphia

Marriott at 1201 Market Street. This annual

event is geared towards men's and women's

coaches and officials, with numerous clinics

available. The registration fee is $40,

but is reduced to just $25 for everyone

registering prior to Nov. 15. Online convention

registration will be available on the

US Lacrosse web site beginning in September.

Nor Cal U15 Succeeds at Vail

July 2003

The U15 Norcal All Star team had its most

successful performance in Colorado to

date, finishing the tournament in Second

Place out of nine teams. We played four

games per day at the comfortable Vail

altitude of 8,000 ft for a total of 12

games!

The team went 6-2 in the pre-bracket games,

beating Utah, Texas, Idaho, Ft Collins

(CO), Team Denver, and Pikes Peak (CO).
